The startup began its journey in March 2020, days before India entered a nationwide Covid-19 lockdown. At that time, the founders aimed to reduce physical contact at airports. They built a mobile app to support contactless travel and smoother airport movement.

The idea matched the moment. Airports adopted the product, and Flyzy onboarded more than 10 locations. The startup raised angel funding and gained early attention in the travel-tech sector.

That early success did not last long.

As the pandemic continued, air travel slowed. Passenger volumes dropped. Revenue stayed low. By the second wave of Covid-19, Flyzy faced cash pressure. The product saw use, but it did not scale as a business.

The founders had to decide fast. They chose to change direction.

Entering Online Ticket Booking

In May 2022, Flyzy moved into online air ticket booking. This placed the startup in a crowded market. Large companies such as MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo, Yatra, Booking.com and EaseMyTrip already controlled most of the space.

The timing still worked.

The travel industry was rebuilding. Demand returned, but plans stayed uncertain. Large players focused on recovery, not expansion. Smaller teams could move faster.

Flyzy set a basic goal. The team planned to sell tickets worth ₹1 lakh. Within 20 days, the platform crossed ₹40 lakh in bookings.

The numbers told a deeper story.

Corporate Travel Changed the Business

Most of the ticket volume came from companies. Corporate bookings crossed ₹35 lakh in the early phase. Individual travellers formed a smaller share.

This data shaped Flyzy’s future.

While most online travel agencies target consumers, Flyzy saw a gap in B2B corporate travel booking. Many companies still relied on manual processes, phone calls and multiple vendors. Billing lacked clarity. Support took time.

Flyzy rebuilt its platform around these needs.

The company focused on air tickets for businesses. It offered account-based pricing, clear invoices and structured support. Travel managers could book, track and manage trips in one place.

This focus gave Flyzy a clear position in the market.

Revenue Growth and Profit Focus

The results followed.

Flyzy’s revenue grew from ₹6.8 crore in FY23 to ₹70.1 crore in FY24. By early 2025, the company reported a run rate of ₹160 crore for FY25.

The company also claims profitability.

Unlike many travel startups, Flyzy has not raised large institutional rounds. In early 2022, it raised $150,000 from Balmer Lawrie and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. The funds supported product work and early growth.

Industry leaders say the approach makes sense.

Subhrangshu Sanyal, CEO of IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, notes that B2C travel platforms cover full journeys, but B2B travel remains scattered. He says Flyzy identified a clear problem and built a working solution.

Founders and Roles

Flyzy is led by three young founders, each with a defined role.

Deepak Meena, an IIT Guwahati graduate, serves as CEO. He handles strategy and direction.
Arjit Singh, the COO, manages operations and client relationships.
Hansraj Patel, the CTO, leads product and engineering.

The founders are all in their mid-20s. They built the company without large teams or high spend. Decisions stayed data-driven and direct.

Current Focus and Expansion

In 2025, Flyzy continues to expand its corporate client base. The platform serves firms across IT services, consulting, logistics and manufacturing.

The company avoids mass consumer sales. It focuses on repeat business from enterprises.

Flyzy is also working on internal tools. These include booking automation, reporting systems and controls for finance teams. The aim is to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.

Corporate travel in India is returning. Companies now seek cost control and clear processes. This trend supports Flyzy’s model.

Position in a Competitive Market

Large OTAs still control supplier networks and brand reach. Flyzy does not try to match them on scale. It competes on service depth and focus.
